Right to Information (RTI) Committee

The Right to Information (RTI) is a legal right of every citizen recognized and protected under the Right to Information Act, 2005. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has made it mandatory for Universities and Colleges to constitute an RTI Committee at the institutional level to ensure effective implementation of the Act.
In compliance with the provisions of the RTI Act, 2005, Nutan Arts, Commerce & Science College, Rajapur has constituted a Right to Information Committee (RTI Committee) to promote transparency and accountability in institutional functioning.
Objectives
-
To empower citizens by ensuring transparency and accountability in the functioning of the institution.

To maintain and provide access to necessary institutional records as per RTI norms.

To provide information regarding Government of Maharashtra social welfare schemes.

To act as a coordinating unit working for student welfare.

To deal with matters related to SC/ST scholarships and reservations as per Government of India policies.

To address RTI applications and provide necessary information within the stipulated time period prescribed under the RTI Act, 2005.
How to Apply

The applicant/student may submit a written RTI application to the RTI Committee.

Upon receipt of the application, the committee will process the request and provide the relevant information within the prescribed time limit as per the RTI Act, 2005.
